Actress / model’s Hamptons estate goes up for auction
Model and actress Maria Kimberly’s estate in the Hamptons is expected to be auctioned off to buyers with a few million dollars in the bank.
Kimberly, who rose to prominence in the 1960s and 1970s, will put her 2.3-acre resort in Southampton on Long Island up for auction without reservation on Tuesday, September 21, according to a new listing.
In the past, the gated community has been listed for over $ 7.5 million, although it can be purchased directly for just under $ 5 million.
The auction takes place by Heritage auctions.
When auctioned, the estate will include nearly $ 2 million in furniture, the auctioneers said, including custom pieces and imported antiques selected specifically for the home.
The property has features such as a double-height entrance, spiral staircase, and a formal living room with high ceilings, a fireplace, and crisp moldings, according to the listing. There is also a master bedroom, a kitchen with dining area and several terraces.
It also has a swimming pool, a pool house and a private gîte.
“The grounds and grounds are immaculate,” Nate Schar, director of luxury real estate for Heritage Auctions, said in a statement. “It’s absolutely turnkey and offered with the best luxury furnishings and amenities, right down to silk towels.
“The house is an ideal retreat for people looking for an elegant and playful space to relax away from (the) city. Although it looks remote, it is only a few minutes from Southampton Village, ”added Schar. “The house has rarely been used and is in immaculate condition. Most of the rooms have never even been slept.
