External Residential Sales Representative – Axios Charlotte

As an Outside Residential Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing TDS revenue by acquiring new customers and selling new products to our existing customers. Through door-to-door prospecting, you will meet potential customers to educate them on the features and benefits of TDS voice, data and video products and determine the appropriate solutions to meet their needs through a consultative sales approach. Contacts with customers are made either through cold calls to customers’ homes, phone calls to existing customers, or appointments, open houses, local events, customer referrals and prospects .

Qualifications:
Obligatory
• 6+ months sales/customer service experience – OR – current or past military service with honorable discharge.
• Ability to obtain and retain all credentials and/or licenses necessary for the sale.
• Must have access to reliable transportation.
Other
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with home electronics, computers and broadband internet preferred.
• Must be enthusiastic, persuasive, persistent and have the ability to handle rejection well in the sales process.
• Must be a good listener and have superior people skills.
• Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service in a calm and professional manner.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and be self-sufficient.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with customers to educate them on cable, voice and data services.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
• Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner.
• Must be able to pass local community background checks and licensing processes.
