Mattison’s Forty-One restaurant in Sarasota reopens with renovations
Mattison’s Forty-One in Sarasota recently reopened after several months of closure for major renovations and additions. The popular South Tamiami Trail restaurant, aka US 41, was also closed for two months last year for the first phase of many changes.
“We are delighted to reopen our doors at Mattison’s Forty-One with a whole new look and additional menu items,” said Paul Mattison, owner and executive chef of local Mattison’s restaurant group, in a statement.
“We are delighted to see how the upgrades have lightened space, expanded our outdoor seating and made it possible to host many other private and corporate events throughout the restaurant on our outdoor terraces and in our gallery. We invite everyone to join us for a delicious meal, drink or special event soon.

The restaurant now features two covered terraces (north and south sides) with alfresco dining for 110 people, a new lighted bar, an updated gallery for private events, as well as a whole new look for the dining room. main dining room that can accommodate 170 guests. in addition to the gallery, which can accommodate up to 100 participants, several new spaces are available for private and corporate events.
Mattison’s Forty-One includes catering operations, covering internal or external regional events and private parties ranging from weddings and family celebrations to large charitable and corporate functions.
As per the updated setting, Mattison’s menu includes new items while maintaining favorites. Additions include a boil of New England lobster and baked collard greens. At the new bar, customers can now enjoy light snacks and snacks as well as hand-made pizzas. Mattison’s culinary offerings are made entirely from natural ingredients sourced from small family farms that don’t use antibiotics, hormones or chemicals.
