Locale de Lipa: an inspired place to live

Guests met prominent Lipa residents and entrepreneurs who have built and established sustainable and fulfilling lifestyles, business ventures and creative endeavors outside of town.

News and Current Affairs host and columnist Cito Beltran, whose family has resided in Lipa since the 1970s/80s, said property prices were cheaper than at P50,000 per hectare or P5 per square meter, but although prices have gone up, living in Lipa compared to the urban jungle of Manila has a lot of advantages. Instead of spending 32 to 35 million pesos for a multi-level unit, Beltran said it was better to acquire “a nice stretch at Forbes Estates Lipa.”

“Don’t wait until you’re retired to retire. A lot of people wait until they’re 65 to retire and they can’t afford it anymore. They’ve gotten too old physically and it’s too expensive,” he said.

For entrepreneur and wellness advocate Pinky Tobiano, Lipa has been instrumental in the health and well-being of himself and his family. When she couldn’t fly to Singapore for her treatment during the pandemic, Tobiano found The Farm at San Benito was recognized by Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital.

“If you can invest in a lot in Forbes Estates Lipa right now during the presale, I think that’s the perfect gift you can give yourself. The air is very cool and the population is not dense. Look at this view, amazing! So how can you not fall in love with Lipa?, she asked, pointing to the magnificent view of Lipa from her villa.

Media consultant Charie Villa acquired her two-hectare property in Lipa in 2018 and decided to stay for good in 2019. She says life is simple but rewarding, especially since her property has many fruit trees . Access to essential services such as food supply is readily available in Lipa as the town has three supermarkets and two shopping malls which are only minutes away.

At the same time, Villa said the Port of Batangas makes it an ideal springboard for exploring other islands in the country.

“Batangas is a hub. You can go to Batangas port and visit Mindoro or Palawan or anywhere you want to go with the RORO there and go to the islands. It’s very beautiful to live in Batangas. You can stay in your space or you can also venture outside because we really haven’t ventured into our own country,” she said.

Beltran, on the other hand, added that it is much cheaper and healthier to live in Lipa than in the city. “If you’re going to be staying at Forbes Estates Lipa, with all of these amenities, the clubhouse, the park, the picnic area, and they’ll set up all these commercial areas, it’s all inclusive. That’s the perfect deal,” he said. .
