The water supply will be assigned to Lutyens in Delhi, like the Central Secretariat and Parliament, and east Delhi on Tuesday January 3. In addition, water services will also be assigned to Garhi Dhobi Ghat, Mayur Vihar Ph III, Swastya Vihar, Shankar Vihar, Chitra Vihar, Laxmi Nagar, PD Vihar, Gagan Vihar, Gujarat Vihar, Sukh Vihar and Guru Angad Nagar, the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) added.

The DJB said tankers will be available and will share designated numbers for the central control room and other areas.

However, Jal’s board did not mention why the services will be affected. Earlier, on December 27, water supplies had been affected in several areas due to the annual flushing of underground reservoirs and pumping stations.

At that time, services were assigned to areas such as LIG DDA Apartments in Kalkaji, Panchsheel Enclave, Mayur Vihar Phase II, Akbar Road, Sarojini Nagar, Ashoka Hotel, Shanti Path, Safdarjung, Race Course, Sujan Singh Park and the premises of the Library of Parliament. .
