This $23 Million Spanish Villa Is Practically A Private Luxury Resort – Robb Report
You’d be forgiven for thinking Villa Vela is a luxury resort instead of a private residence.
The Spanish mega-mansion, which the Agency listed for $23 million on Tuesday, spans more than 23,000 square feet and comes with a long list of extravagant amenities. It makes perfect sense once you know the location, though.
The 2.4 acre haven of peace is located on the southern coast of Spain in Sotogrande. For the uninitiated, this is one of the largest and most prestigious private developments in the country. The glitzy gated community is so large, in fact, that it’s separated into eight zones. The villa in question is part of the La Reserva area and was completed in 2020.
Designed by ARK Architects, Villa Vela takes its name from the Spanish word for the sail of a ship. The three-story open-plan abode is designed to fit the individual like a sail (sail) adapts to the wind, according to listing agent Gideon Lang-Laddie. The main level features a large hall with a formal dining room, living room and reception area. Perfect for entertainers, it also sports a large kitchen with a marble island and bar seating, separate prep kitchen and walk-through pantry.
The top floor houses the six suites of the property. Each comes with a private outdoor space that connects to the upper terrace. The master suite is distinguished by a more sophisticated bathroom and a luxury white oak dressing room. The lower level, meanwhile, offers an indoor pool, full spa, Turkish bath, sauna, Jacuzzi, showers, and fitness center. You will also find a multi-level wine cellar and cinema room on this floor.
Outside, the landscaped grounds are equipped with a large infinity pool, a pool house with bar and barbecue and countless other places for outdoor entertaining. In addition to this the property has a separate guest house and a 10 car garage with a showroom. You will also have direct access to the private 18-hole La Reserva golf course.
“From year-round polo to summer skiing, yachting on the cobalt Mediterranean, private access directly to one of Europe’s finest golf courses, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, gym cinema and views as spectacular as the house itself, what more could you want,” said Lang-Laddie Robb Report by email.
It may be a resort after all.
