University of Texas and Dell Technologies extend partnership

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of Texas Athletics and Dell Technologies today announced a multi-year relationship that establishes Dell as an Official Technology Sponsor, expanding a long-standing relationship between the University of Texas and Dell Technologies.

“Dell Technologies has deep roots in Austin and the University of Texas, for almost 40 years when Michael Dell started the business in his dorm room at UT,” said Liz Matthews, senior vice president global branding and creation at Dell Technologies. “We’re excited to continue to invest in our hometown and be a part of UT’s rich track and field tradition. Texas Athletics will integrate state-of-the-art solutions from Dell Technologies to power its game-day statistics across all teams and at all competition venues. Through this expanded relationship, Dell will have the promotional rights to co-brand with the iconic Texas Longhorns logo at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, the new Moody Center and through official digital and social media platforms. Dell will also have important designations at the Moody Center as a founding partner in the future home of the men’s and women’s basketball teams.

On November 26, 2021, when Texas football plays host to the state of Kansas, Dell Technologies will celebrate researchers at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), who have fueled scientific and technical discovery for 20 years. TACC started with humble roots in 2001 with a cutting edge IT cluster. Today, TACC is at the pinnacle of university intensive computing in partnership with Dell Technologies and the National Science Foundation (NSF).
